Indications according to traditional Chinese medicine: Dang Gui Bu Xue Tang tonifies the qi to generate blood. It is indicated in cases of fever syndrome (feeling of heat) due to the emptiness of the blood and the floating of the yang, which manifests itself as muscular heat, fever, red complexion, dysphoria and thirst, the desire to drink, dermatitis, and a large, large and empty pulse, but with no strength when pressed. Dang Gui Bu Xue Tang can be used in cases of fever or headache resulting from blood emptiness during pregnancy or after childbirth and other disorders such as: anaemia, allergic purpura, metrorrhagia, postpartum fever and haemorrhage, leukopenia, neurasthenia, abscesses, tuberculosis, when signs of blood emptiness are present, and weakness of qi.
