Indications according to traditional Chinese medicine: Gui Zhi Fu Ling Wan disperses stagnant blood and masses in the abdomen. It is indicated in cases of blood stasis in the uterus resulting in light or persistent uterine bleeding of purple or dark blood during or outside pregnancy, abdominal pain aggravated by pressure, immobile masses in the lower abdomen with pain and tenderness on pressure, abdominal spasms, amenorrhoea with abdominal distension and pain, irregular menses with abdominal pain, dysmenorrhoea, pale or pink tongue with thin coating, irregular or deep and rough tense pulse.
