Indications according to traditional Chinese medicine: Tao Hong Si Wu Tang nourishes and activates the blood and regulates menstruation. It is indicated for blood stasis syndrome with blood void, marked by: menstrual pain with irregular periods and shortened menstrual cycle with heavy bleeding of dark purple, sticky blood with or without clots, with abdominal pain and distension, dizziness or blurred vision, pale complexion, pale tongue with thin coating, thin and weak pulse.
